1. The Problem:
It seems that many men today have no rudder anymore. No compass. No direction. Most men don't have anything that really guides them, leads them, shows them the best way. So men seem to go wherever the wind blows. They do whatever seems right to them. They follow whatever the latest fad, writer, author, blogger, influencer has to say. If we keep going whatever way seems right, I'm not so sure we're going to be happy with where we end up. Have you ever heard the phrase "If you aim at nothing, you're sure to hit it every time"? Men need a rudder, a compass, a target, a leader.
2. The Solution:
To solve the drifting we need a target, a compass, a firm foundation, a leader.
Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life." (John 14:6) Jesus is not only the way. He also brings truth to all and He brings light where there is darkness in heart, soul and mind.
I propose we follow Jesus, the perfect man and Savior, who taught us to love our enemies (Matthew 5:43-44) and do to others as we would have them do to us (Matthew 7:12).
Our world is never going to get better unless we follow the one who LOVES US and has the best plan for us.
Blowing around in the wind is not a good strategy. Being men that are guided by Jesus Christ is the best target we can shoot for.
You may not believe in God or you may say "Jesus, the church, been there, done that." We understand.
You may have doubts. You may have your reservations. Christians and the church have certainly not always represented Christ well.
Whatever your past is or whatever your current doubts or reservations, we would like to invite you to try Jesus as your leader, as the target for how you live your life.
3. Go Deeper
Will you consider going deeper with Jesus? Will you consider learning more about Him? Maybe for the first time or maybe again.
It's never to late to reengage with Jesus. It's never to late to try His way for the first time.
Being directed by Jesus is the best choice you will ever make. We want to help you get the compass and direction we all need.
4. Take A Step:
We want to do all we can to help you GO DEEPER with your relationship with Jesus Christ, with Him as your leader and guide. Here are some suggestions:
1. Join a Group - we have online groups that start the first week of every month. Our groups are a 4 week, 1 hour per week, online group that helps you grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus with others in an online setting. Sign up by clicking HERE.
